  Track Record: The Braves signed Reyes out of the Dominican Republic later on in the 2025 signing period and gave him $1,797,500, the largest bonus for any Latin American pitcher. He’s one of the youngest players in the class–he doesn’t turn 17 until Aug. 22–yet already has outstanding fastball velocity.
  
  Scouting Report: Reyes has a striking 6-foot-4, 220-pound frame for his age and the velocity to match, already touching 102 mph at 16 years old. His strong, physically-mature build allows him to overpower hitters with his fastball. At some point, Reyes will need to show he’s more than just elite velocity, as scouts have questioned the quality of his secondaries and command. Some believe improved control will come with less effort per pitch, and he’s working to add sweep to a short slider that could become his best secondary. Others, however, see his changeup as the more promising offspeed weapon.
  
  The Future: Reyes’ overwhelming velocity and build at such a young age gives the Braves quite an interesting ball of clay to mold. Now, it’s up to them to shape it.
