Bragg pitched as a reliever for Nebraska for three seasons before transferring to Dallas Baptist in 2023, where he posted a 4.19 ERA as a starter in 86 innings. He struck out 24.7% of batters and walked just 4.6%, and has a strong track record of solid strikes in his career. A 6-foot-2, 207-pound righthander, Bragg throws a three-pitch mix that includes a 90-93 mph fastball that touches 96, a low-80s slider and a low-to-mid-80s changeup.

Track Record: After two years as a reliever at Nebraska, Bragg transferred to Dallas Baptist and joined their rotation. He was solid at DBU, with an ability to fill the zone with three pitches and plenty of pitchability. Now, he’s throwing significantly harder and has improved his changeup, setting up a breakout season.
Scouting Report: It’s oversimplifying things to say Bragg is throwing harder, and therefore he’s a better pitcher, but there’s a kernel of truth to it. Bragg is now sitting 94-95 mph after previously pitching at 90-93 mph. His increased velocity makes his average fastball better, and his two-seamer has cut and sink to avoid barrels. Bragg can elevate his four-seamer to the top of the zone, work down with his sinker in-and-out to the bottom of the zone, and his low-80s slider gives him something that breaks gloveside. His newly developed kick-change is an effective weapon armside, and he throws a cutter as well.
The Future: Bragg has made big strides this season with improved stuff and solid feel for pitching. His ERA is helped by a lot of unearned runs, but he’s been one of the better pitchers in the Double-A Eastern League.
