Track Record: Level was the centerpiece of San Francisco’s 2024 international signing class. The switch-hitting infielder inked for a bonus of $997,500 and reported to the Dominican Summer League for his professional experience. There, he was one of the organization’s best performers and finished with a slash line of .275/.393/.517 with a strikeout rate of just 16.7%.
Scouting Report: Level is a compact, strong player with surprising strength and quickness for someone with his build. Scouts in the Dominican Republic reported an elite athlete who hit the ball hard for a player of his age. He finished the year with a zone-miss rate of just 13.1% and a 90th percentile exit velocity of 100.7 mph. The thump in his bat allowed him to hit 10 home runs, making him one of just five players in the DSL to reach double-digits. Level’s swings from both sides of the plate are quick and designed to keep the barrel in the zone a long time while shooting line drives all over the outfield grass. He moves decently well at shortstop, and his plus arm would fit just fine if he has to move over to third base. As an amateur, Level was lauded for his advanced feel for the game.
The Future: After a successful turn in the DSL, Level will advance stateside in 2025 and is likely to spend his full season in the Arizona Complex League. He has the upside of a shortstop who can provide plenty of power from both sides of the dish.

BA Grade: 50/Extreme
Track Record: Level was one of the Giants’ big signings in the most recent international period, which opened on Jan. 15, 2024. He earned high marks for his hittability and strong chance to stick at shortstop.
Scouting Report: The switch-hitting shortstop has short, direct swings that have enough adjustability to the barrel into different sectors of the strike zone. He’s more of a pure hitter than a power threat, though he could get 10-15 home runs at his peak. Level’s above-average speed and plus arm give him a likely future at shortstop.
The Future: Level will begin his career in the DSL, where should show off a well-rounded skill set and an advanced knowledge of the game.
