  Track Record: Tornes signed out of Cuba as the headliner of the Braves’ 2025 international class and inked a deal for $2.5 million.
  
  Scouting Report: Listed at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, Tornes is extremely physically advanced for his peer group, but he was also on the younger end for players in the 2025 class. He’s a switch hitter who has solid pitch recognition and timing at the plate and has a chance to be an average hitter with above-average game power. He could grow into 25-plus home run power in the future. Prior to signing, scouts praised the improvement of Tornes’ defensive ability in the outfield. After previously profiling like a left fielder or first baseman, Tornes improved his running ability and turned in above-average run times that could be enough for him to start his pro career in center field. While he could slow down and still fit best in a corner, his improved defensive profile does lessen the pressure on his hit/power combo.
  
  The Future: Tornes immediately becomes one of the more exciting position players in Atlanta’s pitching-heavy system, but he’s a long way from the majors and will need plenty of time to develop.
