Hill spent a season at Arizona State as a freshman where he showed a well-rounded toolset as an everyday shortstop before transferring to Ole Miss for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. A 6-foot-1, 200-pound righthanded hitter, Hill has a well-developed frame with solid bat speed, quick hands and a mechanically-sound righthanded swing. He’s got feel for the barrel and has done a nice job managing his strikeouts throughout his college career and also stands out for his ability to recognize spin out of the hand. After playing shortstop early in his college career, Hill has split time between third and second for Ole Miss in 2025 with the arrival of standout freshman shortstop Owen Paino. He’s a solid athlete who should have the hands and arm strength to play a number of defensive positions in pro ball.
