Aloy is a Hawaii high school product who began his college career at Sacramento State in 2023. He then transferred to Arkansas, where the SEC pitching challenged him in 2024. He opened eyes in the Cape Cod League in 2024, when he hit .309/.352/.642 with eight home runs and three doubles in 21 games with wood bats. Aloy carried that momentum into a career-best 2025 season and hit .349/.434/.663 with 20 home runs and 19 doubles through 63 games. Aloy has a lean and athletic build at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds and made mechanical adjustments that seemingly paid off in his draft season. He moved from a crouched stance with a low handset to a taller posture with a higher hand placement. Aloy has a minimal load with a small toe tap that leads to a standard stride and thunderous bat speed that produces plus raw thump. Power is the loudest piece of Aloy’s offensive profile, and it allows him to drive the ball with authority to all fields with both metal and wood bats. His hit tool is still developing and needs more polish, but the strides he made in his second tour of the SEC were encouraging. Aloy has made more contact and improved his chase rates throughout college, though he is still susceptible to swinging and missing against spin. Aloy is an above-average athlete at shortstop, one who has also made defensive strides and improved his chances to stick there. His arm strength is just average and could wind up being a better fit at second base.

Aloy won WAC freshman of the year honors with Sacramento State in 2023 when he hit .376/.427/.662 in 56 games. He then transferred to Arkansas in 2024 where he went through some growing pains in the SEC but still managed a respectable .270/.355/.485 line with nine doubles, 14 home runs and 56 RBIs in 60 games. Aloy then flipped a switch with Yarmouth-Dennis in the Cape Cod League when he slashed .309/.352/.642 with eight home runs in 21 games. Aloy has a physical build at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds and possesses plenty of natural strength. He has an interesting setup at the plate and stands slightly hunched over with a low handset. Aloy uses a toe tap as a timing mechanism and has above-average bat speed. He generates quality contact and can drive the baseball into either gap with authority. Aloy has above-average raw power, especially to the pull side, and posted a max exit velocity of 114 in 2024. While Aloy’s aggressive approach has worked for him, it also leads to high chase rates across the board. Picking up spin seems to be one bugaboo, and against breaking balls he has both a tendency to swing-and-miss and expand the strike zone. Aloy’s shortstop defense will need to continue to improve to stick at the position professionally. He has average arm strength, and his overall defensive skill set might be best suited for second base.
