All season long, Nationals righthander Travis Sykora has been one of the most outright filthy pitchers in the minor leagues. That was true again on Tuesday, when he outdueled Hudson Valley righthander and Yankees prospect Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz over six shutout innings. Sykora allowed two hits and two walks and punched out eight. By going six full frames, Sykora also racked up his longest outing of the season. He now has 70 strikeouts against just 11 walks over 49.2 frames.
