Tomorrow will be the last day of June and the MLB draft is just weeks away. Time flies when you are fantasy baseball prospect hunting and gathering information on dynasty assets.

Let’s see who has caught RoboScout’s optical sensors this week.

Dominican Summer League Hitting

We talked about Marlins shortstop Luis Arana having a minuscule strikeout rate last week which, combined with his two home runs, have him leading the DSL rankings. Well, Reds outfielder Pablo Nunez has an even lower strikeout rate, boasting a 1.3% rate while walking over 27% of the time. The “bad news” is that the lefthanded Nunez is 18 years old and repeating the DSL. Still, he had an 87% contact rate last year, showing elite bat-to-ball skills and is capable of playing an adequate center field. He’s one to watch as he comes stateside.

Nationals shortstop Marconi German has shown a nice blend of power and speed so far with three home runs and 12 stolen bases over 79 plate appearances. The switch-hitting 17-year-old has a chance to stick at shortstop, which gives him a high floor to complement the fantasy-friendly power and speed blend he’s showing thus far.

Mets shortstop Yorber Semprun owns the second-highest wRC+ among 17-year-olds with a minimum of 40 plate appearances. Signed out of Venezuela, Semprun has a sweet stroke from the left side–although he has not yet hit a home run–and has more walks than strikeouts, eight stolen bases and a .229 ISO. RoboScout will be keeping an eye on him.

Mets shortstop Elian Pena blasted three home runs in one game this week, finally showing some of the talent that had him one of the highest-regarded international prospects of the class. Despite that offensive explosion, the 17-year-old still “only” has a 105 wRC+ on the year but has more walks than strikeouts. Remain patient with him, he is one of the most well-rounded hitting prospects currently on the island.

Marlins shortstop Anthony Abreu signed for a hair over $500,000 as a 6-foot-1, 180-pound shortstop, but showed up to camp stronger and an inch taller. It’s showing up on the scoreboard too, as the 17-year-old has four home runs already to go along with three stolen bases over 71 plate appearances. The big blemish on his scorecard is the 32% strikeout rate, which is scary for a DSL prospect. Still, the power seems to be undeniable. Keep an eye on him and if he makes a material improvement to his contact rate, act quickly.

After bouncing in and out of the Complex League hitter rankings, Orioles outfielder Stiven Martinez finds himself jumping into the Top 10 after a week in which he hit two home runs. On the season, the 17-year-old has a 138 wRC+ over 117 plate appearances, the second-highest mark for someone his age behind only Guardians outfielder Juneiker Caceres.

Last year, RoboScout loved Martinez’s 103.5 mph 90th percentile exit velocity and 24% barrel rate–both metrics being plus for the level, despite also being in his age-16 season–and was only mildly concerned with his 67% contact rate, which felt like a better indicator of his bat-to-ball skills than his 30% strikeout rate. Well, this year Martinez has lowered the strikeout rate to 24%, a completely acceptable level. He’s an interesting upside play.

Dodgers third baseman Chase Harlan is just outside the Top 100 with a 127 wRC+ with five home runs over 122 plate appearances. It’s his performance in June that has really catapulted him skyward though, as the 18-year-old has knocked all five of his bombs this month, after having a dinger drought for the first 74 plate appearances of his professional career. RoboScout sees 25-30 home runs in Harlan’s major league future.

Athletics two-way player Shotaro Morii has had a solid June as well with a 194 wRC+ over 53 plate appearances, the highest wRC+ for a teenager with at least 50 plate appearances in the month. Keep an eye on Morii as we get deeper into the summer.

Marlins lefthander Nate Payne enters the Top 10 after an eight strikeout, zero walk, one hit performance over five innings. On the season, the 19-year-old 2024 18th-rounder has a reasonably high 12% walk rate, though that is more than compensated by his 37% strikeout rate–and in June, Payne has been specifically hot with a sub-1.00 WHIP and sub-1.00 ERA.

Congratulations to Blue Jays lefthander Johnny King, who got the call to Low-A Dunedin and debuted there this weekend.

After a slow start in full-season ball, Cardinals catcher Rainiel Rodriguez is starting to pick it back up by doubling his wRC+ this past week, now sitting at 86 on the 2025 season for Low-A Palm Beach. As an 18-year-old in the FSL in 2025, he has a 90th percentile exit velocity of 103.4 mph, besting his 103.1 mph mark he had in the DSL in 2024. He continues to be one of the bigger breakouts of 2025.

A couple weeks ago, we mentioned that Cardinals third baseman Deniel Ortiz was having a nice season and now the 16th-round pick in 2024 once again finds himself in the Top 20 for Low-A with six home runs and 20 stolen bases with a 143 wRC+. With a 90th percentile exit velocity of 105 mph and a 110 mph max exit velocity, it’s clear that the 20-year-old has power in his righthanded bat. He will need to work on lowering his 29% strikeout rate (and 68% contact rate) on the season. Notably, in June, over 102 plate appearances, his strikeout rate has been a solid 21% strikeout rate with a 70% contact rate, and 78% in-zone contact rate, both rates firmly league average.

Just ahead of Ortiz in the Low-A hitter rankings is Orioles outfielder Nate George who, in the first 66 plate appearances of his full-season ball career, has put up a 182 wRC+ with a home run and nine stolen bases. With a power/speed blend, athleticism that so far has led to an adequate center field (though he will likely end up in a corner), George has a high fantasy ceiling and is in the top 75 to 125 range of fantasy prospects per RoboScout.

Three teenagers have had excellent Junes and have basically entered the Top 10 in the Low-A rankings.

The hottest pitcher in June is Braves lefthander Cam Caminiti, who rises 12 spots from the back of the Top 20 to seventh. The 18-year-old struck out eight with no walks over four innings yesterday.

Brewer righthander Ethan Dorchies impressively debuts in the Top 10 on the Low-A rankings with a 37.5% strikeout rate in the 9.2 innings he’s hurled over three starts since being promoted from the Complex. The Brewers are rightfully slow-playing him. Despite being in the nascent of his professional career, Dorchies projects as a back-of-the-rotation starter.

The final teenage name of the trio is Padres lefthander Boston Bateman who was at 16th last week and is now knocking on the door of the top 10 after a nine-strikeout performance over six innings on Thursday. The 6-foot-7-inch behemoth has a mid 90s fastball, two distinct breaking pitches and a developing changeup. Surprisingly, his pitch mix doesn’t generate all that many whiffs nor does it come in as wild as you might suspect from someone of his figure, as the 19-year-old has managed to keep his walk rate lower than 6% in June over four starts. RoboScout sees a back-of-the rotation starter with a similar peak projection to Dorchies.

Mets righthander Wellington Aracena has been hovering around the back end of the rankings for Low-A all season and appears at the back of the list at No. 20. His rise has been on account of his scorching June in which the 20-year-old has averaged just under five innings per appearance for St. Lucie and struck out 33% of the batters he’s faced while also compelling the ball, if hit, into the ground at a 63% clip. His walk rate for the season is at a hair under 14% which does provide relief risk and considering that he is predominantly a two-pitch pitcher–high-90s four-seam fastball from above-average extension and a mid-to-high-80s slider that elicits a ton of whiffs–the bullpen might be a better fit for him.

Tigers infielder Kevin McGonigle has climbed into the Top 3 in the High-A rankings, up from eighth last week, after hitting three home runs and maintaining a wRC+ over 200 on the season. As you might suspect, his 206 wRC+ is the highest in the league for hitters who have at least 25 plate appearances, and impressively the 20-year-old has sustained that lofty mark for 140 plate appearances.

Pirate top prospect Konnor Griffin continued his ascent up the High-A leaderboards as he is now sitting in sixth, up from 12th last week, after knocking another dinger and stealing four bases. RoboScout sees a 25/25 power/speed profile with a 115 wRC+ at peak. That’s a top fantasy prospect.

It is worth noting that the hitter with the most home runs-plus-steals in June, with seven home runs and 13 bags is Cubs outfielder Carter Trice. At two months shy of his 23rd birthday, he’s not young for High-A South Bend, but he’s showing great swing decisions and is one of the rare types of three-true outcome hitters who can also steal bases, showing 20/20 potential. Interestingly, Trice has played most of his games in center field where his athleticism has been on display. Although not the most scientific methodology (and there are many assumptions that are being ignored), in 2022, all-world defender Pete Crow-Armstrong made 130 putouts in center field over 504 innings (one putout every 3.9 innings) with three assists and two errors in for South Bend. This year in center field, Trice has made 88 putouts in 315 innings (one putout every 3.6 innings) with one assist and one error–showing that he has been more than a capable defender. Trice looks like he can be a fourth outfielder in the majors.

We mentioned Blue Jays righthander Gage Stanifer in last week’s article (and on our most recent fantasy podcast), highlighting how many strikeouts the 21-year-old has rung up this season. And once again, he made us look smart by punching out nine more batters over five innings this week. To reiterate what we said on the podcast, amongst pitchers 21-years-old or younger in High-A who have thrown at least 20 innings, the highest strikeout rates since 2006 belong to 20-year-old Kyle Harrison (2022) at 50%, 20-year old Hayden Juenger (2021) and 21-year-old Grayson Rodriguez (2021) at 46%, 20-year-old Daniel Espino (2021) and Stanifer at 45%. Nationals righthander Travis Sykora has punched out 44% this year. Huge arrow up for the Jays minor league pitching corps this year.

Although he didn’t pitch last week, another hurler with a strikeout rate in June above 40% is Astros righthander Anderson Brito who has sent packing 41% of his batters he’s faced this month. RoboScout highlighted the 20-year-old a number of times last year as having big breakout potential with his huge stuff but Brito has had a fairly subdued 2025 season, most notably held back by his 13.4% walk rate and an unexpectedly lowish 31% K rate considering the filthiness of his stuff. RoboScout still sees a back of the rotation starter with his last thirty days hinting at being able to stick in the middle of a rotation.

After being promoted to Double-A Arkansas, Mariners outfielder Lazaro Montes smashed three home runs in his first five games and is immediately in the Top 12 for the level. RoboScout sees a .265/.350 batting average and OBP with 25 to 30 home runs.

His org and teammate Michael Arroyo also debuts in the Top 20 with one home run of his own in his first 26 plate appearances in Double-A Arkansas. Last year’s number two RoboScout fantasy prospect has a similar peak projection to Montes and is a top 25 fantasy prospect again.

Angels outfielder Nelson Rada hit a home run! That single-handedly pulled him into the Top 10 for Double-A. Mostly on account of the fact that he is one of the youngest hitters in the league, and still a teenager–while putting up a better wRC+ than fellow 19-year-old Sebastian Walcott–RoboScout sees a better-than-average major league bat who should hit 10 to 12 home runs and steal 25 to 30 bases, all while playing solid center field.

Just off the Top 20 but who had a huge June that Geoff wrote about here is Cubs infielder Pedro Ramirez. This month, he has hit five home runs and stolen six bases with a 167 wRC+, moving his overall season mark at Double-A Tennessee to a solid 133 wRC+ with six home runs and 19 stolen bases. His season performance projects to a major league peak of .265/.335 with 15 home runs and 15 to 20 stolen bases. That’s a solid fantasy performer at either second or third base, wherever Ramirez ultimately ends up.

Rivera’s debut wasn’t too compelling as he walked five over 4.1 innings, though he did punch out six. Still, on the season’s body of work, RoboScout sees a peak projection of a 1.20 WHIP and 3.60 ERA, essentially a midrotation starter, especially considering he elicits such a high groundball rate too. Tolle, a current Top 100 prospect, had a far more dominant debut, striking out nine batters in five innings and touching 97 mph. The two Red Sox hurlers both find themselves in the Top 5 in Double-A.

Mets righthander Jonah Tong continues to carve in Double-A, arguably getting better as the season has progressed, lowering his walk rate and increasing his groundball rate while maintaining a higher-than-40% strikeout rate all season, with a 40.2% rate in June.

The only starter who has exceeded Tong’s strikeout rate in June belongs to Cardinals righthander Hancel Rincon who has added a few ticks to his velocity this year on his four-seam fastball now sitting mid 90s and his slider which is now mid-to-high 80s. Although the shapes of the pitch mix– he also throws a changeup–are not fantastic, the 23-year-old has averaged five innings per start in June and has a ground ball rate north of 55%. Keep an eye on Rincon to see if he can sustain his step forward as we head deeper into the summer.

Regretfully, it should be mentioned that Athletics lefthander Gage Jump has fallen out of the Top 20–essentially tied with Robby Snelling at the back of the list–with a mediocre performance this month. The most notable issue has been his control, as he’s put up a 13.5% walk rate this month while only striking out 22% on the other side of the ledger. Despite the slide, on the season Jump has been a breakout and RoboScout still sees a back-of-the-rotation starter.

After missing most of the season with a wrist injury, Braves infielder Nacho Alvarez Jr. returned on June 16 and in his first 45 plate appearances, performed well enough at the level to debut in the Top 10. The bad news is that he promptly suffered an oblique strain and is back on the injured list. The 22-year-old is tailor-made for RoboScout: young for the level, preternatural bat-to-ball skills, and solid swing decisions. He may not hit more than 15 home runs at peak but with his ability to get on base and generally play all over the infielder, he is a potentially valuable corner or middle infielder on a dynasty team.

After never having a 90th percentile exit velocity above 102 mph in any of the past three seasons, Cardinals outfielder Nathan Church has a 103.8 mph exit velocity in Triple-A in 2025. On the season, the 24-year-old has an 88% contact rate and a 92% in-zone rate showing excellent bat-to-ball skills. In June, Church has been especially hot with a 188 wRC+ and four of his season’s ten home runs being blasted in the month. Likely not a long-term dynasty asset, but Church, along with Rangers outfielder Cody Freeman who himself has six home runs and six stolen bases this month and the same 88% and 92% overall and in-zone contact rate as Church – are both potentially on the verge of making their major league debuts where their excellent bat-to-ball skills may be useful in 2025 off the bench for their respective major league teams.

There were a couple huge performances in Triple-A last week, headlined by Dodgers righthander Emmet Sheehan who just returned from injury and hurled a 13 strikeout, no-hit gem over six innings. On the “season” in Triple-A Oklahoma City, the 25-year-old has a silly 49% strikeout rate and even sillier 1.7% walk rate over 15.1 innings. Expect him to be back with the Dodgers shortly. Seeing as he seems to have recovered, his dynasty value is shooting back up.

Another hot pitcher in June–and who is on the precipice of debuting in the Bronx–is Yankees righthander Cam Schlittler who has a 40.2% strikeout rate in his 21.1 innings of work in Triple-A Scranton and vaults into the Top 10. The 6-foot-6-inch 24-year-old just debuted as a Top 100 Prospect and you can read more about him here.

A notable June pitching performance belongs to Marlins righthander Adam Mazur who has a 33% strikeout rate and 6% walk rate in 21.2 innings in June. With Ryan Weathers and Max Meyer on the shelf, and Sandy Alcantara likely to be shipped out, expect Mazur to make a significant innings contribution to the Marlins major league rotation.

Happy bidding!

It’s officially summer and it definitely feels like it in most of the country. RoboScout, meanwhile, is melting its microprocessors to calculate which prospects are even hotter.

Let’s see who is burning up the charts this week.

Dominican Summer League Hitting

When we mentioned Marlins shortstop Luis Arana last week, he had zero strikeouts and two homers. After 20 more plate appearances, Arana finally struck out, but he also added three more steals. The 17-year-old is RoboScout’s top DSL prospect early on.

Guardians shortstop Jose Riera ranks second. Despite his 5-foot-8 stature, the 17-year-old already has three homers and a 202 wRC+ through 45 plate appearances. Cleveland signed him out of Venezuela for $400,000 on the strength of his bat-to-ball skills and it seems he has added some sneaky pop. With a solid hit tool and bat strength that belies his smaller frame, Riera seems to be picking up where Juneiker Caceres left off last year.

Braves outfielder Diego Tornes is tied for third in the early rankings, mostly because of his age (16). The 6-foot-2 Cuban signed for nearly $2.5 million and has a 136 wRC+ with nearly as many walks as strikeouts over 56 plate appearances. He hasn’t homered yet, but Tornes has 10 stolen bases and a solid .167 ISO.

Nationals outfielder Nauris De La Cruz signed out of the Dominican Republic for $500,000 as a  power-over-hit profile. In 29 plate appearances, he has a home run with five steals as a 17-year-old. His 10% strikeout rate is even more encouraging. If he can keep the bat-to-ball skills, his stock will rise.

Complex League Hitting

Giants shortstop Jhonny Level shined in the DSL last year after signing for just under $1 million out of Venezuela. The 5-foot-10 switch-hitter had bulked up since signing and showed some of the best power in the DSL with a max exit velocity of 108 mph. This year, he has carried that power over to a new, er, level, as he already has a max exit velocity of 112 mph and six homers in the last 30 days. Both figures lead the complex leagues. Level has chipped in four steals and kept his strikeout rate under 15%, becoming a top-five hitter at the Complex in the process.

Last year, Guardians outfielder Yeiferth Castillo demonstrated his bat-to-ball skills by posting the fifth-lowest strikeout rate (7.8%) among qualified hitters. Power, however, was a question mark. Over his last 60 plate appearances, Castillo has four home runs and the fifth-highest ISO (.257) at the Complex over the last 30 days. If he’s found a new level of strength, the 18-year-old will rise in rankings, and I don’t just mean by entering the RoboScout Complex Top 20.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Blue Jays lefty Johnny King continues to widen the gap between him and the rest of the Complex League arms. Although it’s primarily a two-pitch arsenal right now, his 95 mph fastball with huge armside run from a low slot and his low-80s curveball with two-plane break are proving far too much for short-season hitters. He should be in Low-A Dunedin before long.

After six more strikeouts over two innings yesterday, Pirates lefthander Reinold Navarro is tied for second in the rankings. The walk rate is unsightly, but at the lower levels and at younger ages, the more important metric is the strikeout rate. That being said, however, Navarro will need harness his command and control to avoid being destined for the bullpen.

With another home run and four stolen bases, Rays outfielder Theo Gillen jumps back into the Low-A top five. Along with Eduardo Quintero, Luis Peña, Konnor Griffin and Braylon Payne, Gillen has a 20-homer, 20-steal projection.

RoboScout also gives Marlins outfielder Andres Valor a 20-20 projection. Valor starred for Miami’s DSL squad in 2023 and was earmarked as a breakout pick each of the last two offseasons because of his combination of athleticism, center field defense, speed and power. Over the last 30 days for Low-A Jupiter, the 19-year-old has four home runs, 10 stolen bases and a 152 wRC+ over 91 plate appearances. His 27.5% strikeout rate is higher than we’d want, but his blend of power and speed is exciting for fantasy managers.

White Sox outfielder George Wolkow has always had massive power. He was one of only 18 minor league hitters with a minimum of 100 plate appearances to produce a 109 mph 90th percentile exit velocity in 2024. Swing-and-miss has come hand-in-hand with Wolkow’s thump, though, and he struck out 40% of the time in his first full pro season.

So far in 2025 with Low-A Kannapolis, Wolkow has managed a 27% strikeout rate and an even more impressive 22% clip over the last 30 days. All the while, he’s also smashed four home runs with a 139 wRC+ over 77 plate appearances during that time. RoboScout has always seen him as a 30-to-35-homer bat. If he can keep the whiff rate in check, his big league batting average projects to around .250, which is far more palatable.

Padres lefthander Kash Mayfield continues to ascend the Low-A rankings, rising four more spots on the heels of an eight-strikeout performance over three innings where he walked just one batter. Interestingly, RoboScout has a (slightly) better peak fantasy projection for Mayfield than it does for Red Sox lefthander and Top 100 prospect Payton Tolle.

Mets lefthander Daviel Hurtado debuts in the rankings after one Low-A start once we add in his 19 Complex League innings, where he had a 29% strikeout-minus-walk rate and 65% groundball rate. The 20-year-old Cuban has a mid-90s four-seam fastball and a sharp curveball with two-plane break, along with a low-to-mid-80s slider with gyro shape. RoboScout loves the Mets pitching development apparatus and is definitely intrigued by Hurtado’s potential as a lefthanded starter.

Pirates corner outfielder Esmerlyn Valdez flies up the rankings this week after hitting four home runs to raise his wRC+ to 180. Over the last three years, the slugger has increased both his 90th percentile exit velocity and max exit velocity, hitting a ball at 114 mph in the first month of the season after never exceeding 112 mph prior to this season. His 23.5% strikeout rate is also manageable. While he’s older, Valdez has struck out less than Lazaro Montes and Zyhir Hope in 2025 and leads High-A with 19 home runs. RoboScout projects him as a 25-to-30-homer hitter with an above-average wRC+ even though he’s already 21 years old.

Twins shortstop/third baseman/center fielder Brandon Winokur hit a pair of home runs this past week, bringing his 30-day total to seven to go along with seven steals during that time. Winokur still has a lot of swing and miss in his game, though for the past month his strikeout rate is just under 25%, which is lower than fellow High-A 20-year-old Lazaro Montes, who has also hit seven home runs in the past 30 days.

The most homers over the last 30 days, though, belongs to Mariners third baseman Luis Suisbel, who has hit 11 long balls. While RoboScout projects the 22-year-old to become a 20-to-25-homer bat at peak in the majors, keep in mind he’s older than other hitters for his level and projects for below-average wRC+ and batting average.

Baseball America’s Geoff Pontes wrote up Blue Jays righty Gage Stanifer here. This part stuck out:

“He’s sitting mid 90s on a four-seam fastball that generates up to 20 inches of induced vertical break regularly. His go-to secondary is a mid-80s breaking ball he calls a slider with slurvy shape and good depth for its velocity. He’ll also show a changeup, but it’s used less often than his slider by a wide margin.”

RoboScout doesn’t have much more to add, except the following: “Bleep, bloop. Stanifer looks like a midrotation starter who might reach the majors in the second half of 2026.”

Red Sox lefthander Eduardo Rivera is the biggest High-A riser this week. His 39.5% strikeout rate is actually higher than fellow 22-year-olds Gage Jump and Carlos LaGrange before they were promoted to Double-A. At 6-foot-7, Rivera is giant with a mid-90s four-seamer that he throws with above-average extensions from a high release point, along with a cutterish slider that sits mid-to-upper 80s. He also has a splitter and sweeper and has generated an extremely high 59% groundball rate.

Rivera’s profile may imply reliever, but RoboScout sees the ingredients for a midrotation starter, which would be an incredible outcome considering the A’s released him in May 2024 and he signed with the Red Sox as a minor league free agent a month later. RoboScout is intrigued.

Reds outfielder Hector Rodriguez is the big Double-A riser this week after smashing there homers–including two against Angels righty George Klassen–to raise his wRC+ by 27 points to 157. With a peak projection of .280/.350 with a 120 wRC+ and 20-25 home runs, RoboScout sees the 21-year-old corner outfielder as one of the most underrated prospects in fantasy.

After missing 20 days with an undisclosed injury, Red Sox infielder Mikey Romero returned this weekend and wasted no time making an impact, homering in each of his first two games back and vaulting onto the Double-A leaderboards. In 2024, the 21-year-old posted a 90th percentile exit velocity of 102.4 mph and a max of 108.7 mph. He’s already surpassed both this season under the Red Sox bat speed development program, recording at least one batted ball at 111 mph in 2025. Romero remains a clear top 100 fantasy prospect.

A couple of weeks ago, RoboScout flagged Cardinals outfielder Joshua Baez as a player to watch after the 22-year-old made significant improvements to both his contact and chase rates. Since then, Baez has a 189 wRC+ with six home runs and six stolen bases. His six homers—tied with fellow Cardinal Leonardo Bernal—trail only Brewers slugger Brock Wilken, who has hit seven over the past 30 days in Double-A. All three project for 20-plus home run power at peak, but Baez adds another dimension with this season’s speed, projecting for 18–20 stolen bases as well. It looks like Baez has officially broken out.

Rangers lefthander Mitch Bratt is making his push toward the top five, climbing four spots since last week. The 21-year-old has delivered an excellent 2025 campaign, highlighted by a minuscule 3.6% walk rate over 62.2 innings. A fifth-round pick in 2021, Bratt has expanded his arsenal to five serviceable pitches that he can both command and control. Based purely on his sustained 2025 performance, he should crack the next Dynasty 500 update.

Royals righthander Shane Panzini has impressed since his promotion to Double-A Northwest Arkansas. Over four starts, the 23-year-old has averaged four innings per appearance with a 36% strikeout rate and a walk rate under 5%. His over-the-top release and above-average extension allow his starter’s arsenal to play up. Initially projected as a likely reliever when drafted in the fourth round in 2021, Panzini now looks like he may stick in a rotation—and RoboScout believes he could settle in as a midrotation starter.

Red Sox righthander Blake Wehunt has been dominant over his last four outings, averaging more than five innings per start—including a seven-inning, 13-strikeout gem against Double-A Somerset. The 6-foot-7 Kennesaw State product uses his natural extension to add deception to a 94 mph fastball, complemented by a cutter, sweeper, slider and splitter. If he maintains his current trajectory, RoboScout projects Wehunt as a midrotation starter who generates strikeouts while keeping the ball on the ground.

Orioles outfielder Dylan Beavers is steadily playing his way back onto the fantasy prospect map, climbing into the top 11 after launching two more home runs this past week. Over the last 30 days, the 23-year-old has a 174 wRC+ with four home runs in just 69 plate appearances. After posting a 90th percentile exit velocity of 102 mph in 2024, Beavers has increased that to 106 mph this season. RoboScout projects a .255/.330 line with 15–18 home runs and 20–25 stolen bases with an above-average wRC+. That profile makes him a clear top 100 fantasy prospect.

Dodgers shortstop Alex Freeland has turned things around after a slow start to the season. Over the last 30 days, the 23-year-old has compiled a 141 wRC+ with six home runs and four stolen bases. His 90th percentile exit velocity remains steady at 105 mph—matching last year’s figure—while his contact rate has jumped from 67% to 75% over the same period. RoboScout now sees Freeland as a league-average bat with 18–22 home runs and 10–15 stolen bases, providing steady shortstop production.

With Adley Rutschman sidelined until after the all-star break and backup Maverick Handley injured in his first game back from Triple-A, Orioles fans—and fantasy managers—are getting louder in their calls for Samuel Basallo’s callup. The 20-year-old has already crushed 15 home runs in Triple-A and owns two batted balls over 115 mph. For context, that mark would rank 16th on the major league leaderboard for max exit velocity and second in hard-hit rate, trailing only checks notes Shohei Ohtani. You can understand why the buzz is growing.

Rays righthander Joe Boyle had another strong week, climbing the rankings after tossing five more innings with eight strikeouts and just one walk. Over his last four outings, the 25-year-old has logged 21 innings with 34 strikeouts and five walks. On the season, Boyle owns a 22.3% strikeout-minus-walk rate with a sub-1.00 WHIP and sub-2.00 ERA. RoboScout projects him as a midrotation starter capable of posting a sub-4.00 ERA at the major league level. If he can sustain the 9% walk rate he’s managed over the last 30 days, Boyle might have SP2 upside.

The only starting pitcher with a higher strikeout rate than Boyle’s 41% over the last month? Athletics righthander Jack Perkins, who we highlighted last week—and who earned the call to the majors this weekend. Congratulations to Perkins.

It’s fitting to end this week’s RoboScout update with another hearty congratulations, this time for Reds righthander Chase Burns, who will make his MLB debut this week against the Yankees. The second overall pick in the 2024 draft has flown through three minor league levels and has been the best pitcher in the minors this season. In redraft leagues where he’s still available, bid aggressively—Burns projects to be the most impactful pitching addition for the remainder of 2025.

Happy bidding!

Happy Father’s Day to all the fantasy dads out there. We’ve just released our top dynasty fantasy prospects with our June Update to the Dynasty 500.

Hopefully you have a lot of the guys at the top. Let’s dig in to see who might end up there before long.

Dominican Summer League Hitting

Twins outfielder Teilon Serrano signed for just under a million dollars and is an athletic outfielder with tools. He has two home runs and three stolen bases and a strikeout rate under 20%. His groundball rate is a bit high at 56%, but we’ll ignore that for now and put him on our radar. Like I said last week, if an international signee with pedigree–or who signed for at least $1 million dollars–begins to produce at a noticeable rate, one should pounce immediately.

Tigers outfielder Cris Rodriguez easily meets this criteria. He’s a toolsy 6-foot-4 athlete with three home runs and plus speed. He’s able to turn around velocity but is a power-over-hit profile. Rodriguez has a 24% strikeout rate, which is a bit higher than we would want to see from an elite prospect, especially at the DSL, but Detroit spent $3.2 million–the highest bonus for any outfielder in 2025–for a reason.

Another high-priced talent, Angels catcher Gabriel Davalillo, who signed for $2 million in January, hit two home runs in his first nine plate appearances and currently has a 252 wRC+ across his 20 plate appearances season. Don’t make the mistake I made with Rainiel Rodriguez and ignore an offensive force in the DSL, especially one with just a 5% strikeout rate, only because he is a catcher.

Rockies outfielder Luis Morejon signed for $250,000 out of Cuba on the strength of a solid hit tool and power whose fringe-average speed would likely push him to a corner. Out of the gate, the 6-foot-2 righthanded-hitting hitter has two home runs and three stolen bases in 41 plate appearances with more walks than strikeouts. He may not have any plus tools, but he’s performing very well in the early going and, just like Robert Calaz before him, he’ll benefit from playing his home games at Coors.

RoboScout’s keeping an eye on Marlins shortstop Luis Arana, who has two home runs and two stolen bases and has yet to strike out in 36 plate appearances. He is hitting the ball on the ground at a 63% clip but judging from the .286 ISO, the athletic switch-hitter, who clearly is showing excellent bat-to-ball skills, is maximizing his damage.

Along with infielder Dauri Fernandez, Guardians outfielders Robert Arias and Juneiker Caceres are picking up the slack now that Cardinal catcher Rainiel Rodriguez is in full-season ball and no longer hogging the Complex League headlines.

Caceres, a top DSL prospect last year per RoboScout thanks to strong Statcast data and youthful upside, has carried that momentum forward. This season, the 17-year-old has already recorded a 106 mph exit velocity and made meaningful gains in both whiff and chase rates.

Arias, a $1.9 million signee in 2024, brings a classic table-setter profile. Over the past four weeks, he has walked twice as often as he’s struck out, hit one home run, and swiped 12 bags—all while posting a 165 wRC+. As noted previously (and echoed in the DSL section), it’s rarely a bad idea to pounce early on high-profile international signees who begin producing in game action.

Cardinals shortstop Yairo Padilla entered the year as a popular sleeper, earning rave reviews from scouts. While his early season was overshadowed by the breakout of Rainiel Rodriguez, Padilla is quietly trending upward. He’s cracked the Top 15 after stealing 22 bases on the season. Over the past 59 plate appearances, he has a 134 wRC+ with 15 stolen bases. Though he’s yet to hit a home run and continues to post a high groundball rate, his timing at the plate appears to be improving.

One new name to monitor is Dodgers catcher Francisco Espinoza, a 2024 signee out of Venezuela. Over the last 30 days, Espinoza has compiled a 206 wRC+ with a home run and twice as many walks as strikeouts—outperforming teammate Ching-Hsien Ko. He’s only thrown out 11% of attempted basestealers in 2025 but showed promising receiving and framing skills last year in the DSL. As an 18-year-old catcher in the Complex League, he’s strictly a watchlist name for now.

The 20-year-old righty has been a revelation over the past four weeks, hitting three home runs and stealing five bases while posting a 201 wRC+ over 92 plate appearances. Under the hood, Ortiz boasts a 105 mph 90th percentile exit velocity and a max of 110 mph—both well above average for his age—along with one of the highest barrel rates in the league. While his whiff rates are about average, the quality of his contact more than makes up for it. RoboScout projects a league-average bat with power and speed, pegging a potential peak at .250/.330 with 20 homers and 10–12 stolen bases. So far, he’s looking like a draft-day steal for St. Louis.

The Rays signed Canadian-born catcher Nathan Flewelling in the third round in 2024 away from a Gonzaga commitment because of his potential 70-grade raw power. In Low-A over the past 30 days, only three players age 18 or younger—Luis Peña, Eduardo Tait, and Braylon Payne, all top 100 fantasy prospects—have hit as many home runs as Flewelling. He’s posted a 139 wRC+ in that stretch, just behind Peña’s 141 and well ahead of Brewers outfielder Jose Anderson, who drew early Complex League buzz. If Flewelling proves to be even a fringe-average defender behind the plate, he could start generating real fantasy traction.

Over that same span, Brewers first baseman Eric Bitonti has slugged seven home runs in just 75 plate appearances. That’s the good news. The bad: he’s still striking out at a 35% clip, even during this hot stretch. RoboScout has long admired the teenager’s power, but the bat-to-ball skills will need to take a step forward for him to become more than a one-dimensional slugger.

After Padres lefthander Kash Mayfield threw another three innings this week with six strikeouts and no walks, he rose from 17th last week in the Low-A rankings up to eighth.

Royals lefty David Shields also rose after adding more innings. He struck out five more batters, walking only one, over 2.2 innings.

After being traded to the Rays alongside Brody Hopkins in the Randy Arozarena deal, outfielder Aidan Smith hadn’t done much to distinguish himself in his new organization. But over the past four weeks, the 20-year-old has caught fire with four home runs, six stolen bases and a 171 wRC+ over 69 plate appearances. It’s a promising sign that Smith may be bouncing back in 2025, reentering the conversation as a power-speed prospect worth monitoring.

Rays shortstop Adrian Santana continues to flash elite bat-to-ball skills, with just a 5% swinging-strike rate and 9% strikeout rate over the last 30 days. He still hasn’t shown much power—his .081 ISO is modest, even with one home run during that stretch—but his excellent defense and double-plus speed provide a strong floor. If he begins to drive the ball more consistently, he’s a breakout candidate.

As hot as Josue Briceño has been recently (despite a short rest), the hottest hitter in High-A over the past month is Mariners second baseman Michael Arroyo. The 19-year-old has launched nine home runs in his last 114 plate appearances with a 189 wRC+, climbing from 14th to inside the Top 5 at the level. On the season, the RoboDarling owns a 161 wRC+ and 14 home runs, projecting as an above-average major league hitter with 25-30 homer upside. He started slowly, but now he’s on fire.

Tigers second baseman Kevin McGonigle continues his steady rise as his sample size grows, climbing from 17th last week to 13th this week in the High-A ranks. His 246 wRC+ leads all players at the level with at least 90 plate appearances—well ahead of Yankees prospects Roc Riggio (188) and George Lombard Jr. (186), who rank second and third.

It’s no surprise that Pirates shortstop Konnor Griffin is off to a strong start in High-A. The 19-year-old owns a 238 wRC+ with one home run and five stolen bases through his first 26 plate appearances (not including today). He debuted at No. 20 in our June dynasty prospect rankings here, but it’s looking more and more like a Top 10 spot is coming soon.

After a dominant outing in which he struck out 10 batters over five innings without issuing a walk, Nationals righthander Travis Sykora has claimed the top spot in the High-A rankings, overtaking Trey Yesavage and Gage Jump. Fittingly, all three were ranked back-to-back-to-back at Nos. 50, 51 and 52 in our June dynasty prospect rankings. It’s not unreasonable to view Sykora as a top-five fantasy pitching prospect. In fact, RoboScout projects a higher peak for him than even Chase Burns.

Diamondbacks righthander Daniel Eagen reappears in the High-A rankings after striking out eight and walking just one over 6.1 innings. The 22-year-old 2024 draftee now has a 34% strikeout rate on the season. While his 11% walk rate adds some risk, RoboScout sees him as a back-end starter with real swing-and-miss stuff.

Yankees righthander Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz also turned in a strong performance, striking out eight and walking two over five innings. Like Eagen, the 21-year-old profiles as a potential back-of-the-rotation starter but with fewer strikeouts and a stronger groundball profile. Encouragingly, he’s averaged six innings per outing over the past 30 days.

We have a new name atop the Double-A rankings: Mets shortstop Jett Williams. The 20-year-old is slashing his way to a 172 wRC+ with six home runs and 18 stolen bases. RoboScout sees a high batting average, high OBP, and a potential 20/20 profile, making Williams one of the most well-rounded fantasy infielders in the minors.

Fellow Mets prospect Ryan Clifford has been heating up as well. The first baseman/corner outfielder has hit five home runs over his last 100 plate appearances while compiling a 167 wRC+. Known for his three-true-outcomes profile, Clifford has made meaningful gains since May 18, posting a swinging-strike rate below 10% and a manageable 24% strikeout rate. For context, Rays first baseman Xavier Isaac—just five months younger—has a 31% strikeout rate and 14% swinging-strike rate over the same span, though with one more home run. Especially in OBP leagues, Clifford looks undervalued.

Among Double-A hitters with at least three home runs over the past 30 days, Red Sox outfielder Zach Ehrhard stands out as the only one with more than six stolen bases. The 2024 fourth-round pick from Oklahoma State has four home runs, nine steals and hasn’t been caught once. It’s unclear whether this power-speed combo will sustain, but Ehrhard’s solid hit tool and ability to handle center field give him a strong foundation. The Red Sox hitting development staff—particularly their focus on bat speed—could further elevate his value. While not flashy, Ehrhard is shaping up as a top 200 fantasy prospect, with Triple-A likely by the second half of 2025.

Tigers second baseman Max Anderson is another underappreciated name who cracked the Top 30 in our June update. The 2023 second-rounder out of Nebraska has found another gear at Double-A Erie, posting a 175 wRC+ on the season. Over the last 30 days, he’s slugged five home runs with a 201 wRC+. He’s an aggressive hitter and may never walk much, but his bat-to-ball skills suggest a .260 average with 20–25 home run potential. That profile plays just fine at second base.

We flagged Rockies righthander McCade Brown a few weeks ago as a surprise name among more high-profile arms and he continues to justify the attention. The 2024 third-rounder out of Indiana dominated at High-A Spokane with a 12.8 K/9 and sub-2.00 ERA before earning a promotion to Double-A Hartford. Since moving up, Brown has made three starts and struck out 41% of batters faced. That’s the highest strikeout rate among starting pitchers over the past 30 days, even edging out Jonah Tong. His 35% strikeout-minus-walk rate also leads all Double-A starters during that span. Betting on a Rockies pitcher is always risky, but Brown is showing a legit back-end starter profile with a mid-90s fastball, above-average extension and a four-pitch mix.

As noted last week, Orioles righthander Trey Gibson has been electric since his promotion to Double-A Bowie. The 23-year-old features a mid-to-upper-90s fastball and multiple swing-and-miss breaking ball shapes. He’s part of an intriguing duo in the Orioles system alongside Braxton Bragg. Both have strong pitch data and equally strong results.

Congratulations to Blue Jay outfielder Will Robertson who got the call last week after hitting nine home runs since May 18, the most home runs in Triple-A over that time.

If you’re curious as to who might be the next prospects to be promoted, the top-ranked RoboScout Triple-A hitters who have not yet debuted in the major leagues are Orioles catcher Samuel Basallo, Mariners catcher Harry Ford, Giants first baseman Bryce Eldridge, Brewers catcher/third baseman Anthony Seigler, Dodgers corner outfielder Ryan Ward, Orioles outfielder Dylan Beavers and Cubs first baseman Jonathon Long. Expect to see all of them in the major leagues by the second half of 2025.

Despite debuting with a 17% walk rate, Reds righthander Chase Burns still sits atop the Triple-A RoboScout rankings. No further digital ink is necessary—he’ll be in Cincinnati soon and should be excellent, even in 2025.

There’s a new No. 2, and it’s not Jacob Lopez, J.T. Ginn or Luis Morales. Instead, it’s 25-year-old Athletics righthander Jack Perkins, who owns a 14.1 K/9 and a 3.23 ERA on the season. While Lopez and Ginn haven’t posted eye-popping surface stats in the majors this year, their underlying metrics point to real improvement.

As for Perkins: when he inevitably gets the call in the next month or so, you can likely bid with confidence in redraft leagues. His arsenal includes a 96 mph fastball, an 85 mph slider with a 48% whiff rate, and a 92 mph cutter.

Oh, RoboScout is telling me Rafael Devers just got traded. That feels like a good place to stop.

Happy bidding!

As you may have noticed lately, June is an important time for rankings updates at Baseball America. With all six levels of the minor leagues active, almost the entire player pool is in action, giving us a better idea of how these players should shake out when compared to one another.

For the Dynasty Top 500 rankings, prospects are a portion of a larger puzzle. These players account for around 30% of the list, meaning we’re only ranking the most-rosterable prospects across a variety of league sizes and styles.

But what about those who don’t crack the Top 500?

Today, we’ll go a bit further and expand the prospect portion of the list to 300 total prospects (plus one bonus). After a certain point on the Top 500, the major league talent fades, and prospects tend to hold the greatest value to respective owners. In many ways, it’s correct to view this list as supplemental to the Top 500. Combined, they should give owners a tremendously in-depth ranking with which to build strategy.

As always, it is important to note that this list of players is not the same as the Baseball America Top 100 Prospects list. Rather, it is an actionable fantasy baseball ranking for dynasty managers to utilize when building rosters for this season and beyond.

Baseball America subscribers can access the full dynasty prospect list below and a downloadable file at the bottom of the rankings. Be sure to also check out our fantasy baseball index page for more player picks and analysis throughout the 2025 season.

How time flies. It’s already mid June and one third of the season is over. That means it’s time for another update to Baseball America’s Top 500 dynasty rankings.

Although the sample size is larger than what we were seeing in May, there is still a lot of performance variance, meaning it’s important to not overreact to player performances and automatically think they are indicative of true talent. To be honest, with the exception of young players with short track records—for example, Matt McLain on one side of the coin and Pete Crow-Armstrong on the other—a player’s true talent is typically not able to change significantly based on two months of a season. You can see this in public projections where the change in current “rest of season” numbers are, in most cases, not that different from what the projections were in the preseason.

What has changed, however, are playing time opportunities, depth charts and, of course, the inevitable occurrences of devastating injury—Corbin Burnes and AJ Smith-Shawver being the latest recipients of that honor from the pitching side.

In this update, we’ll go position by position to give an idea of how the landscape’s changed before presenting the full dynasty 500 update for June below.

Pitching

Our list of pitchers probably has the most significant changes. On the positive side, a number of pitching prospects have jumped into the 500 based on their sustained early-season performances, such as Gage Jump, Jonah Tong, and Brandon Clarke. On the other side, Ronel Blanco has fallen off the list as a result of season-ending surgery.

Some of the bigger jumps we’ve seen include Kris Bubic, who is now showing he might be an SP1 or SP2 for the Royals. Similarly, Trey Yesavage, now in High-A, has dominated at the lower levels to show he belongs in the conversation of top ten pitching prospects.

We also have Tarik Skubal ahead of Paul Skenes right now. We wouldn’t quibble if you disagree, but what the Tigers ace is doing right now is undeniable.

Outfielders

Elite center field defense? Check. Power and speed? Check. Great lineup surrounding him? Check. Youth? Check. Pete Crow-Armstrong checks a lot of boxes and has leapt into the top 40 with his excellent 2025 performance. He is probably over-performing his underlying power, but, at least from a perceived value stand point, if you try to trade for Crow-Armstrong right now, you will be paying a king’s ransom.

Michael Harris II has fallen out of the top 50 with his disappointing 2025 performance. Actually, it’s now been more than 700 plate appearances dating back to 2024 of below-average performance for him. After a 4.8 fWAR age-21 season in 2022, Harris has seen his WAR decline every year, and he’s on pace to finish with about one fWAR in 2025. We had overlooked his poor chase rates and corresponding walk rate and now need to downgrade his performance. That being said, Harris is still only 24 years old, so the writing is not exactly on the wall. We’ll need to see a bit of positive regression to get him back into the top 50 or at least stop his slide down the rankings.

The highest debut belongs to Miguel Vargas, who has (finally) been living up to his projections. RoboScout had seen him for a few years as an above-average bat, and thus far in 2025, he’s on pace for 25 to 30 home runs with a 110 wRC+. With multiple position eligibility, he has the value and now the production to make an impressive debut on the list.

Other decliners include players who had previously derived a lot of their value from getting full-time at-bats. If they now seem to be platoon players (Nolan Jones), have been demoted (Jarred Kelenic, Jake McCarthy) or seem to be losing a handle on a potential multi-year, full-time role (Tyler O’Neill, Jhonkensy Noel), they were lowered accordingly.

The highest debut for an outfield prospect belongs to Nelson Rada who as a 19-year-old in Double-A has a higher wRC+ than Sebastian Walcott. It seems like the center field table-setter is not being overmatched anymore.

Middle Infielders

With their struggles, Ozzie Albies and Kristian Campbell both fell out of the top 50. In the instance of Campbell, we still believe in his long-term value, but our enthusiasm has been tempered a bit.

Jacob Wilson, on the other hand, has jumped nearly 50 spots to enter the top 100 on the strength of his incredible rookie campaign. He may not light up the power and speed categories, but it looks like 15 to 20 home runs might be a regular occurrence, and his bat-to-ball skills are among the best in the league.

The biggest riser, though, belongs to Luis Peña. No longer in Jesús Made’s shadow, RoboScout actually has Peña projected to have the most fantasy value at peak on the strength of his 2025 season thus far. He is now in the top 150.

One of the bigger droppers was Jonathan India, whose home runs plus stolen bases totals two while also rocking an 86 wRC+. He’s still projected to be an above-average hitter the rest of the season, however.

The highest-ranked prospect debut belongs to a newly-crowned Top 100 member in Phillies second baseman Aroon Escobar.

Corner Infielders

Jac Caglianone is one of the bigger risers since May on the shoulders of his power burst in Triple-A. And, of course, the fact that he’s now on the Royals right now with some of the fastest bat speed in the major leagues.

The highest-ranking debut belongs to Blue Jays third baseman/outfielder Addison Barger, who has been a revelation for Toronto the last few weeks. With surprisingly excellent defense, Barger has brought electric bat speed while maintaining league-average contact and strikeout rates. He always projected as a 20 to 25 home run bat with playing time concerns, but now it seems like he’s leveled up on the power and hit tool. He’s looking more and more like a regular instead of a strong-side platoon bat.

The highest-ranked debut prospect in this month’s update is Reds infielder Sal Stewart, who is likely going to end up at first base, but is a top 100 fantasy prospect.

Catchers

As expected, the major league leader in home runs gets a boost in the dynasty rankings, as Cal Raleigh is now in the top 60. On the flip side, two young studs have slid in the ranks: Francisco Alvarez and Adley Rutschman.

Cardinals catcher Rainiel Rodriguez is the only true prospect debut at the backstop position, sitting in the early second half of the top 500.

Geoff and I (and RoboScout) have been hard at work updating the Dynasty 500 rankings. Look for them to come out in the next couple days.

It’s a bit early for the Dominican Summer League “rankings” but there have been some interesting performances in the first week

Let’s dig in.

Dominican Summer League Hitting

It’s too early for a meaningful list, but a few hitters have made early noise. Typically, we don’t put much credence in 18-year-olds performing in the Dominican Summer League, as the odds of a player that age making the majors from the DSL are under 10%. Still, a few “adults” have turned in loud performances.

Tigers outfielder Cristian Perez has already hit three home runs in just 13 plate appearances—a strong early pace. Marlins catcher Almen Tolentino leads the DSL with four homers in 22 plate appearances.

The most impressive performance so far may belong to Marlins center fielder Luis Cova, who homered twice in his DSL debut. He’s since added another home run and two stolen bases. His 25% strikeout rate is a little high for the DSL and slightly out of character, given his 84% contact rate last year. It’s possible he’s selling out for power early on. Given his pedigree and performance, he’s a name to monitor—especially once he’s brought stateside.

Moving from surface stats to RoboScout targets: Rangers infielder Elorky Rodriguez, a $1 million-plus signing, is known for his bat and fringe-average power. Through 21 plate appearances, he has a 231 wRC+ and two home runs. Factoring in age, performance, and pedigree, Rodriguez is a worthwhile speculative add.

The Astros spent $850,000 on infielder Sami Manzueta, one of the youngest players in the class. The Venezuelan has one home run, two stolen bases, and a 165 wRC+ through his first 20 plate appearances. RoboScout values age-for-level, and Manzueta checks that box—especially with an ISO above .200 despite a 64% groundball rate.

Rockies signee Larry Suero ($425,000) is a hit-over-power infielder who likely won’t stay at shortstop but should be capable at another position. He’s off to a strong start, with a home run and three stolen bases in 21 plate appearances. He ranks lower on the early pseudo-charts but, along with Royals shortstop Warren Calcano, has opened the season hot.

Complex League Hitting

The top hitting performances for the Complex Leagues per RoboScout are:

With two home runs last week, Pirates outfielder Edward Florentino now leads all non-Rainiel Rodriguez Complex League hitters. This isn’t entirely unexpected. Florentino had great underlying Statcast data as a 17-year-old in 2024 with above-average contact rates, strong exit velocities and solid swing decisions. After a slow start, Florentino is showing why he was a popular 2025 sleeper.

Angels outfielder Hayden Alvarez bumped his wRC+ from 143 to 158 this week, adding six stolen bases and climbing into the top 10.

Rangers shortstop Devin Fitz-Gerald, who entered Texas’ Top 30 in our June update, homered and stole a base, pushing into the top 15. Although our scouting grades say he has fringe-average power, his six home runs in 101 plate appearances as a 19-year-old at the Complex level translate to roughly 20–25 homer upside at maturity.

Blue Jays pitcher Johnny King has climbed to the No. 2 spot at the level after tossing 3.2 scoreless innings last week with seven strikeouts and no walks. The 18-year-old now boasts a 34% strikeout-minus-walk rate, a 0.00 ERA, and a 62% groundball rate—a stellar start to his professional career.

After homering and stealing a base this week, White Sox infielder Caleb Bonemer has climbed to No. 4 on the Low-A charts. Over the past 30 days, the 19-year-old shortstop/third baseman has posted a 168 wRC+ with three home runs and nine stolen bases across 103 plate appearances.

While his 26% strikeout rate during that span may raise eyebrows, it’s more a product of passivity than contact issues. Bonemer’s contact rate and swinging-strike rate are both better than league average, suggesting he’s simply working deep counts, as evidenced by an extremely high walk rate. RoboScout views him as an on-base machine with the potential to flirt with a 20-homer, 20-steal season. He’s trending like a top 50 fantasy prospect.

It was another solid week for Giants outfielder Carlos Gutierrez, who was profiled here. Though slightly older than RoboScout’s ideal age for the level at 20, Gutierrez has impressed since returning from a lost 2024 season in which he played just three games. Over the past five weeks, the Mexico native has delivered a 182 wRC+ with two home runs and 13 stolen bases, showcasing above-average speed and contact skills. With the ability to stick in center field, he offers a profile reminiscent of Daylen Lile with more stolen base upside.

Reds catcher Alfredo Duno has also impressed over the past month, compiling a 197 wRC+ with three home runs. Duno has long shown elite exit velocities and strong swing decisions, though his contact rates have been below-average. Now that it looks increasingly likely he’ll stick behind the plate, his value is rising accordingly. RoboScout sees an above-average major league hitter with on-base ability and 20-plus home run power. He’s an easy top 100 fantasy prospect.

Braves lefthander Cam Caminiti made his Low-A debut for Augusta with five strong innings, striking out eight and walking just one while generating a 21% swinging-strike rate. Combined with his Complex League performance, RoboScout already projects the 2024 first-rounder as a back-of-the-rotation starter with a peak projection comparable to Royals prospect David Shields.

Tigers righty Lucas Elissalt has a 91 mph high-ride fastball, a hard downer curve with over a foot of horizontal break and a tight 83 mph slider that gets above-average whiffs. He delivers them from a low release height and big extension, which helped him win Florida State League Pitcher of the Week honors in mid-May. A 13th-round pick out of Chipola College, Elissalt owns a 31% strikeout-minus-walk rate and sub-1.00 WHIP over his last four starts. With his arsenal, results, and the backing of Detroit’s pitching development machine, the 20-year-old profiles as a potential back-end starter.

There wasn’t much movement in the overall High-A rankings this week. Athletics infielder Tommy White drops out of the Top 20, while Tigers infielder Kevin McGonigle enters the list as his body of work continues to grow.

Rockies outfielder Jared Thomas climbs into the back of the list after homering and stealing three bases last week. On the season, the 21-year-old has a 146 wRC+ with seven home runs and 19 stolen bases. RoboScout projects Thomas as a slightly below-average hitter with 15-18 home run and 15-18 stolen base potential. Factoring in a future Coors Field park boost, he currently profiles as a top 150–200 fantasy prospect.

One of the hottest hitters in High-A over the past 30 days is Giants outfielder James Tibbs III. The 2024 first-round pick out of Florida State has slugged nine home runs in his last 109 plate appearances. Under the hood, the 22-year-old shows strong Statcast metrics: above-average swing decisions, above-average to plus contact and in-zone contact rates, and consistent barrel control with above-average exit velocities. As a college hitter at this level, he doesn’t get an age-for-level boost, but RoboScout sees a fringe regular with legitimate 25-homer upside.

Meanwhile, Josue Briceño and Leo De Vries continue to separate themselves from the rest of the High-A pack. Both now carry top-five projections—and top-five probabilities of reaching those projections—among all minor leaguers.

Marlins lefty Thomas White struck out eight and walked none over four innings last week, moving into the top 10 for the level. Over his last three starts at High-A Beloit, White has posted a 44% strikeout rate and the second-highest swinging-strike rate among High-A starters over the past 30 days at 22%. He’s done nothing to challenge his status as Miami’s top prospect.

Orioles righty Trey Gibson, fresh off a 13-strikeout outing on June 1, owns the best strikeout-minus-walk rate at the level over the past 30 days at 40%, spanning 18.1 innings. The 6-foot-5 righty pairs a mid-90s fastball with nearly 7 feet of extension, a plus mid-80s slider with more than a foot of horizontal sweep and a high-spin curveball with significant depth. Once seen as a likely back-end starter, Gibson is now trending more like a midrotation arm. He earned a promotion to Double-A Bowie and struck out eight over six innings in his debut.

Cubs prospect Ryan Gallagher continues to roll for High-A South Bend with a 0.72 WHIP, 2.15 ERA and a 32.5% strikeout-minus-walk rate in his last five starts. RoboScout projects him as a back-of-the-rotation starter.

Blue Jays righty Trey Yesavage continued his dominant run at High-A Vancouver, striking out nine over five innings this week. Despite a 16% walk rate, Yesavage remains comfortably ranked as the top pitcher at the level.

When Yankees righty Josh Grosz was drafted in the 11th round in 2023, most scouts assumed he would end up a reliever. But this month, the 6-foot-4 arm has averaged six innings per start and posted a 0.86 WHIP with a 2.93 ERA across his last 30.2 innings. Grosz made his debut in the Yankees’ Top 30 in this week’s update.

After boosting his wRC+ from 155 to 176 this week, Brewers infielder Luke Adams now sits atop the Double-A rankings, surpassing the production of Sebastian Walcott, Jett Williams and Bryce Eldridge. Adams and White Sox infielder Chase Meidroth are poster childs for the divide between the scouting community and the statline-model crowd.

Only time will settle the debate, but for now, RoboScout projects Adams to peak with a .270 average, .355 OBP, 20–25 home runs and 10–12 stolen bases. That profile plays at any infield position—though first base, where he’s spent most of 2025, is the least fantasy-friendly option. Still, Adams deserves credit for his 251 wRC+ over the past 30 days, even outpacing Blaze Jordan’s scorching stretch that earned him a promotion to Triple-A Worcester.

A pair of Cardinals cracked the top six after strong weeks. Catcher Leonardo Bernal launched three home runs to bring his season total to nine, while posting a 143 wRC+ as a 21-year-old. RoboScout sees an above-average bat with 20–25 homer potential, which is essentially a top 50 fantasy prospect. Bernal represents yet another success story in the Cardinals’ catcher development pipeline.

Shortstop JJ Wetherholt also joined the top 10 for the level after raising his wRC+ by 20 points this week with a home run. He’s showing a profile reminiscent of Cole Young, with strong batting average and OBP skills, modest power and 10–12 stolen base potential.

Coleman Crow first popped up on RoboScout’s radar in 2023 while with the Angels. Although his numbers were aided by the “tacky” ball in the Southern League, his high-spin curveball and high-ride fastball had standout traits that earned RoboScout’s attention. Midseason, Crow was traded to the Mets, underwent Tommy John surgery, and was then dealt to the Brewers during the offseason while still rehabbing.

Now 24 and returning after nearly two years away from game action, Crow has begun to ramp back up. He struck out nine over five innings in a start earlier this month, then followed that with six scoreless innings and another nine strikeouts without a walk. He debuts in the rankings as the No. 6 pitcher in Double-A. With quality control and an ability to keep the ball on the ground, RoboScout sees midrotation starter potential, even before factoring in the advantage of Milwaukee’s renowned pitching development system.

Chase Burns remains firmly entrenched atop the list after tossing seven shutout innings without issuing a walk. His 34% strikeout-minus-walk rate—and the 33% mark from Red Sox righthander Yordanny Monegro—stand out historically. Among Double-A starters age 22 or younger with at least 30 innings since 2006, those rates rank fifth and sixth, respectively, behind only Shane Baz, Tarik Skubal, Drew Thorpe and Reid Detmers. Both Burns and Monegro are shaping up as 2025 RoboDarlings.

Orioles catcher Samuel Basallo and Red Sox outfielder Roman Anthony have duked it out for the top spot in the Triple-A rankings. After a three-homer week, Basallo is on the podium. RoboScout now ranks him with the second-highest peak projection among all minor league hitters behind only Brewers prospect Luis Peña.

Giants first baseman Bryce Eldridge earned a promotion to Triple-A and wasted little time making an impact. In his first 18 plate appearances at the level, he’s hit one home run and posted a 110 wRC+. When combined with his Double-A performance, the 20-year-old projects as an above-average major league hitter with 25–30 home run power. RoboScout continues to view Eldridge as a top 10 fantasy prospect still in the minors.

An oblique injury to Ezequiel Tovar opened the door for Rockies shortstop Ryan Ritter, who was called up to the majors and has been hitting in the top third of Colorado’s lineup.

Phillies infielder Otto Kemp also made his MLB debut this weekend, filling in for the injured Bryce Harper. While RoboScout sees below-average bat-to-ball skills and some chase tendencies, Kemp’s raw power should allow him to overcome limited on-base ability and produce as a fringe-average major league bat with 25-homer upside.

RoboScout also flags a potential breakout from Rockies outfielder Sterlin Thompson, who is having a resurgent stretch. Over his last 99 plate appearances, he has six home runs, six stolen bases, and a 194 wRC+. After struggling throughout 2024 and early 2025 where he failed to top 110.4 mph in exit velocity, Thompson has recently posted batted balls at 111 and 113 mph. That’s a promising sign that the 24-year-old may be turning a corner.

After making one appearance for the Astros in late May, 28-year-old lefthander Brandon Walter returned to Triple-A and has since made two starts, going six innings in each without issuing a walk. He struck out seven and eight batters, respectively. Despite operating with a fastball velocity in the lower quartile among major leaguers, Walter’s low-slot release and above-average extension give hitters a unique look. His sinker, cutter, and slider mix has been effective, particularly the 92 mph sinker, which Fangraphs rates at 137 Stuff+ thanks to nearly 18 inches of armside run. Walter was recalled this weekend and pitched against the Guardians today.

The best pitcher in Triple-A over the past month—and another recent big league call-up—is Cardinals righthander Michael McGreevy. In his last five starts for Triple-A Memphis, McGreevy has posted a 1.37 ERA, a 56% groundball rate and a 26% strikeout-minus-walk rate. For the second year in a row, RoboScout projects him as a midrotation starter despite lacking overpowering stuff. In 35 major league innings excluding today’s solid outing against the Dodgers he owns a 2.34 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, and an xERA in the low-to-mid 3s. He’s an underrated dynasty asset.

Yankees righthander Cam Schlittler earned a promotion to Triple-A Scranton after 53 strong innings in Double-A, where he ranked in the Top 20 for the level. He debuted with eight strikeouts over five innings, giving up one home run and three walks. The 2025 body of work is encouraging: Schlittler sits in the mid-to-upper 90s with a high-slot release and above-average extension. His mid-80s slider breaks more than 12 inches and grades comfortably as plus. RoboScout now projects him as a midrotation starter, comparable to Reds righthander Chase Petty in both current trajectory and long-term upside. Expect Schlittler to pitch in the Bronx during the second half, if not sooner.

Lastly, congratulations to Rays lefthander Ian Seymour, who earned a callup to the majors this weekend.

Happy bidding!

It’s the first day of June, effectively closing the book on the first third of the major league season, with the Dominican Summer League set to begin tomorrow. Cold weather is mostly behind us, and sample sizes are starting to stabilize, bringing a little less volatility to the full-season levels.

Still, there’s been movement. RoboScout is here to help uncover some gems for your dynasty leagues.

Let’s dig in.

Shockingly, Cardinals catcher Rainiel Rodriguez didn’t homer over his 13 plate appearances this week, but he remains far and away the best hitter in the Complex Leagues with a lofty 227 wRC+

Dodgers outfielder Ching-Hsien Ko is this week’s biggest riser. RoboScout flagged the Taiwanese import last August when he showed a very patient approach and a knack for the barrel in his brief DSL debut. This week, Jesus Cano wrote about him as an ACL prospect making noise, showing off physicality and big power but still with the speed to handle center field.

Another name from RoboScout’s 2024 radar climbing the 2025 rankings is Brewers infielder Juan Ortuno, who ranked No. 11 in the DSL last year. This week, he homered and boosted his wRC+ from 137 to 154, pushing him into the top 10. Last year, Ortuno showed above-average contact skills and swing decisions but had just a 96 mph 90th percentile exit velocity. This year, he has three homers in 82 plate appearances—matching last season’s total in half the trips—suggesting 15-20 home run potential at peak. At just 5-foot-8, it’s probably safe to expect little more than that in the majors.

After an eight-strikeout, one-walk, four-inning outing last week, Pirates lefthander Reinold Navarro jumps to No. 2 in the rankings after being unranked a week ago, underscoring just how volatile the Complex League remains early in the season. We highlighted the 18-year-old a few weeks back as a deep-league flier thanks to his high-IVB power fastball, which touched 96 mph last year. That evaluation still holds.

Giants righty Argenis Cayama remains the class of the level, armed with a mid-90s fastball, confident slider, and developing changeup. He’s keeping the ball on the ground at a 63% rate, and RoboScout sees him as having the best major league projection at the level (not including Travis Sykora’s lone Complex League start).

With both players projected by RoboScout as above-average major league hitters with 20 home run, 20 stolen base potential, you can’t go wrong ranking Brewers prospect Luis Peña and Dodgers prospect Eduardo Quintero—as long as they’re first and second.

Red Sox corner infielder Freili Encarnacion hasn’t cracked the RoboScout chart yet this season, but he posted a 190 wRC+ in May with seven homers in fewer than 100 plate appearances. Last year, the then-19-year-old recorded a 107 mph 90th percentile exit velocity and a 115 mph max, flashing easy plus power. This season, he’s already hit two balls over 117 mph, including a single reportedly clocked at 120.6 mph. His strikeout rate is 21% on the year, though it dipped to 16.5% in May. He’s highly aggressive, chasing at a high rate, and owns just a 2% walk rate. The power is real, but the approach is what’s keeping him from flying up prospect boards.

Braves outfielder Isaiah Drake is on fire in May. While he doesn’t receive nearly as much fanfare, his surface-level stats closely mirror star Pirates prospect Konnor Griffin. A fifth-round pick in 2023, Drake was a raw, toolsy prep prospect with 80-grade speed and the ability to stick in center field. Here’s how their May performances compare:

NameAgePAwRC+ISOHRSB

David Shields climbs to the second spot after another excellent start. In three Low-A starts, the savvy lefty has a strikeout-minus-walk rate of 35.6% while keeping the ball on the ground at a 52% clip. He only has an 11% swinging strike rate, suggesting the strikeout rate will regress a bit, but RoboScout sees a midrotation starter with s sub-4.00 ERA.

Back in April, Geoff Pontes identified Rangers righty Caden Scarborough as a hidden gem after he came into camp more physical with better stuff than what he showed as a 2023 sixth-rounder out of high school. In May, he’s been one of the top performers still in Low-A, with a 40% strikeout rate and 6% walk rate over six starts. His 33% strikeout-minus-walk rate ranks behind only Trey Yesavage, Shields and Khal Stephen among Low-A pitchers age 23 or younger—though both Yesavage and Stephen have since moved up. The Rangers have had recent success with pitching development, and Scarborough may be their next breakout.

It took until June, but Padres shortstop Leo De Vries has finally been unseated as the crown jewel of High-A. The 18-year-old struggled in May, posting a 74 wRC+, which is even lower than the 78 wRC+ Marlins prospect Andrew Salas put up in Low-A this month.

Tigers catcher Josue Briceño, a longtime RoboScout favorite, has been the hottest hitter in High-A. He owns a 237 wRC+ and seven home runs in his last 58 plate appearances, including a three-homer game on Thursday. Already a top 100 fantasy prospect, Briceno has a wide range of outcomes. If he can stick behind the plate, he likely ranks in the top 50. If he moves to first base, he probably drops into the lower quartile.

Mariners infielder Michael Arroyo, last year’s second-ranked RoboScout hitter, continues to climb after a two-homer week, moving from No. 20 to No. 16 in the rankings.

Athletics corner infielder Tommy White has hit four home runs in his last six games, spanning 22 plate appearances, pushing him onto the back end of the High-A rankings. A few weeks ago, Geoff Pontes identified White as a player showing marked improvement in contact rate, which has translated to a strikeout rate under 10% this season.

Blue Jays righthander Trey Yesavage made two more starts this past week and, despite carrying a 20% walk rate at High-A Vancouver, remains the top pitcher on the High-A list. When paired with his dominant Low-A performance, RoboScout sees Yesavage as a mid-rotation starter or better at peak. He also projects with more fantasy upside than Athletics lefty Gage Jump and Mets righthander Jonah Tong, despite being further from the majors.

Vancouver teammate Gage Stanifer also made two starts this week, striking out 14 and walking three. The 21-year-old righthander has a double-digit walk rate on the season, but his arsenal—a mid-90s four-seam fastball, a low-to-mid-80s bullet slider and a changeup with more than a foot of vertical separation—has missed plenty of bats in 2025. While his command still needs refinement to avoid a bullpen projection, RoboScout sees back-of-the-rotation potential based on surface performance.

Twins righthander Cole Peschl, a 15th-round pick out of Campbell in 2024, signed for $150,000 and leaned primarily on a solid slider, supported by a 92 mph fastball, a curveball and a changeup. In 2025, he’s thrown 26.1 innings at Low-A with a 33% strikeout rate, 8% walk rate and a groundball rate over 50%. Since earning a promotion to High-A Cedar Rapids, Peschl has made two starts without issuing a walk, while striking out 30% of batters and keeping a 65% groundball rate. His stuff isn’t overpowering, but the pitchability and results suggest he could reach a back-end starter ceiling—an excellent outcome for a modest signing.

Well, well, well—look who’s at No. 20 on the list: old friend Kahlil Watson, now in the Guardians system. With a blend of power and speed, Watson is posting his lowest strikeout rate since his Complex League debut in 2021, down to a solid 23%. Still just 22 years old, RoboScout sees the newly minted outfielder as an above-average major league bat with 16–20 home runs and around a dozen steals. Here’s hoping the former first-rounder can swing his way back into prospect relevance.

While Padres shortstop Leo De Vries has cooled off in High-A, Rangers shortstop Sebastian Walcott homered twice this week for Double-A Frisco, boosting his season wRC+ to 119. Surprisingly, that still trails fellow 19-year-old Nelson Rada’s 135 mark this season. Walcott cemented his position at the top of the table for another week.

After Red Sox corner infielder Blaze Jordan—who we discussed last week and now promoted to Triple-A Worcester—perhaps no Double-A hitter has been hotter over the past month than Athletics first baseman Brennan Milone. Over his last 95 plate appearances, Milone posted a 180 wRC+ with seven home runs, earning a promotion to Triple-A Las Vegas. He’s long shown excellent swing decisions and above-average contact, though he’s never topped 106 mph in exit velocity over the past three seasons. Still, his barrel rates and launch angles have consistently outpaced league averages, allowing him to optimize contact quality despite limited bat speed. RoboScout sees a path to 20-plus home runs.

Braves outfielder Geraldo Quintero has quietly turned in a strong May in Double-A. The 23-year-old left fielder hit five home runs, stole six bases and posted a 184 wRC+ over 74 plate appearances. On paper, that’s 20/20 potential—but his exit velocities are well below-average and have been for years. He’s never eclipsed 99 mph in 90th percentile exit velocity across the past three seasons. Still, Quintero is maximizing his quality of contact with pulled fly balls and consistent barrel control. RoboScout remains skeptical, but he’s the kind of deep-league dart throw worth tracking. He’s sustained a projected 20-homer, 15-steal pace all season despite the red flags.

The most unexpected name on the Double-A list is Rockies righthander McCade Brown. A 2021 third-round pick out of Indiana, Brown sits in the mid 90s with a fastball that plays up thanks to above-average extension. He throws a firm mid-80s slider that can reach 89 mph, along with a curveball and changeup. Over 38 innings between High-A and Double-A, he’s posted an 11% walk rate, which puts him at some risk of a relief role. However, he’s averaging about four innings per outing and carries a 36% strikeout rate, offering hope he can stick as a starter. RoboScout projects a neutral-park peak of a 1.29 WHIP and 4.20 ERA.

While much of the Blue Jays’ pitching buzz has focused on Trey Yesavage and Khal Stephen, righthander Juaron Watts-Brown also deserves attention. After posting a 37% strikeout rate at High-A Vancouver, he earned a promotion to Double-A New Hampshire. His first two starts at the level haven’t matched his earlier dominance, but RoboScout still sees his four-pitch mix—including a 93 mph fastball with strong extension—as supporting a potential 25% strikeout rate in the majors, along with a sub-4.00 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. At worst, he profiles as a top-175 fantasy prospect.

Congratulations to Mariners shortstop Cole Young, who posted a 190 wRC+ in May with five home runs and four stolen bases, earning a promotion to the majors ahead of Roman Anthony and Jac Caglianone. While RoboScout doesn’t project more than 18 home runs or more than a handful of steals at peak, Young’s on-base ability could land him atop Seattle’s lineup—possibly as soon as this season.

Rockies shortstop Ryan Ritter remains red hot, slugging seven more home runs in his last 30 plate appearances to bring his season total to 16. If he keeps up this pace, Ritter may soon be knocking on Colorado’s door.

Ever since his days with the White Sox, Diamondbacks righthander Cristian Mena has been a RoboScout favorite and consistently young for his level. Now back in the majors in Arizona’s bullpen—for now—Mena has seen his stuff tick up in 2025. His four-seam fastball, which averaged 93.1 mph last season, is now sitting 94.6. His curveball is up from 83 to 87 mph and has boosted its whiff rate from 30% to 46%. His slider has morphed into more of a cutter, increasing from 85 to 86 mph and generating 48% whiffs, up from 38%.

Over his last three starts, Mena has posted a 30% strikeout rate, a 1.20 WHIP, and a 3.00 ERA while averaging five innings per outing in a tough home environment. He’s pushing back into top-100 fantasy prospect consideration, with RoboScout projecting him as a midrotation starter based on 44.2 innings of 2025 data. With Corbin Burnes possibly facing a significant injury, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Mena start for Arizona at some point this season.

On last week’s Baseball America Prospect Podcast, J.J. Cooper spotlighted Rays lefthander Ian Seymour, who promptly followed up with a 10-strikeout, no-walk performance over five innings. Despite lacking overpowering stuff, Seymour ranks third on RoboScout’s Triple-A list. His 91 mph fastball plays up with strong extension and a flat plane, producing a whiff rate north of 33% over the last two seasons. He now throws his changeup almost as often as his fastball, and even with the increased usage, it’s generating a 46% whiff rate—up from 45% last year. His cutter rounds out the arsenal as an average or better third offering. While a low 33% groundball rate caps some of his surface stats, RoboScout still projects Seymour as a solid back-of-the-rotation starter. A callup may not be far off.

Athletics righthander Jack Perkins also makes the list this week after striking out 30 batters in his last four starts. A popular redraft sleeper this spring, Perkins appears poised for a callup later this season. His arsenal includes a 96 mph fastball, an 85 mph slider with a 45% whiff rate, and a 91 mph cutter that bridges the two. Alongside Luis Morales (No. 18 on this week’s list) and Gage Jump in Double-A, RoboScout sees brighter days ahead for the A’s rotation in 2026 and beyond—even if it remains skeptical of 2025 risers J.T. Ginn and Jacob Lopez.

Happy bidding!
