School: Oklahoma State
Commit/Drafted: Red Sox ’21 (13)
Age at Draft: 21.5
The Red Sox drafted Ehrhard in the 13th round out of high school in the 2021 draft, but the outfielder didn’t sign and instead headed to Oklahoma State. He made the Big 12 all-freshman team after hitting .330/.427/.407 with 18 stolen bases and has steadily added a bit more power to his game each year. Now listed at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, Ehrhard remains a contact hitter who thrives by minimizing his strikeouts and getting on base, but he’s hitting a few more balls over the fence and into the gaps for doubles as a junior compared to his first two seasons.

Track Record: The Red Sox drafted Ehrhard in the 13th round out of high school in the 2021 draft, but the outfielder didn’t sign and instead went to Oklahoma State. After three seasons with the Cowboys, the Red Sox selected Ehrhard again in the fourth round of the 2024 draft and signed him for $500,000. He made his professional debut with High-A Greenville following the draft and began the 2025 season returning to the level. Ehrhard was promoted to Double-A on May 19.
Scouting Report: Ehrhard is a bat-first corner outfield prospect with a hit-over-power profile. His selective eye at the plate and minimal swing and miss are the engine that powers his profile. Erhard has made strides in terms of raw power characteristics. Ehrhard’s flatter launch angles limit his power, as his average raw power plays more like fringe-average to below-average in games. It’s possible in the coming years he irons out his angles on contact and finds more game power. Erhard is an above-average runner but not an aggressive base stealer. His speed translates in the field where he can play a fringe-average center field and is average or better in a corner. His above-average arm allows him to make the needed throws in a corner outfield spot.
The Future: Ehrhard is a solid all-around player whose profile would be bolstered by added power. For now, he looks like he could develop into a solid second-division regular.
